Chicken Charlie or Bonchon Chicken?

A few months ago, I got to try the much raved about Bonchon Chicken at Libis, Quezon City. It was unique take on the usual friend chicken as it brags about its double-fried chicken drenched in soy garlic sauce. At that time, Bonchon only had its branch at Libis. It has made for itself quite a crowd, judging by the 12,000+ fans on its Facebook page and the 7 newly opened branches around the Metro.

It was only recently that I discovered Chicken Charlie at Katipunan. I must have missed its opening because it was located on the second floor of the Oracle building and the signage wasn't very visible if you were always driving quite fast. Apparently, Chicken Charlie has been in the Metro since 2010, its first branch being at Amoranto St., corner Retiro St., QC. It was the first to bring the Korean double-fried chicken concept to the Philippines.

Just for starters

I am officially moving on from my blog on Multiply. About time!

I haven't really updated my previous blog after going back to school and getting all buried underneath nursing paperwork, graduation requirements, board exams, and then now, med school.

Still, amidst the chaos, my life can be summarized into three major parts.
1) I have fortunately managed to get a scholarship for med school (which I would forever have to maintain through decent grades),
2) I have a healthy and extremely talkative little boy (who's turning 3!),
3) I have developed a different kind of passion for something that always reminds me that life is good - food.

Time to rise from the ruins.

My life always seems to be in fast-forward, and that's exactly why I have decided to create another blog.. to be the PAUSE button I could use every once in a while. :)

More to come! *wink*
